Happy Hour
Valerie Small
This is the story of a diverse group of single people living in a downtown condominium, where they meet monthly at "Happy Hour." Some of these residents become friends and some become lovers. Some are bi-racial by birth, or involved in interracial relationships, and some prefer lifestyles that don't involve heterosexual relationships. There's religion, indiscriminant sex, lies and clandestine betrayals, as these characters move in and out of each other's lives like molecules, attracting and repelling to stay in motion. The common thread among all of these persons is the condominium in which they live, and the interactions they have during and outside of "Happy Hour." The author demonstrates that in our modern society, "happy hour" is more than a place to get a drink and be casually social. It's the life-blood of a small society within an upscale high-rise condominium. It's real, it's raw, and it's relevant!
