Beating the Odds Robert L Beaty
Beating the Odds
Robert L Beaty
At age 3, Robert was diagnosed with polio, a crippling and potentially dangerous disease which causes paralysis. Unable to walk on his own, and with limited movement with his right limbs, Robert learned how to walk with braces and crutches. He later learned how to drive and was a cab driver in Detroit for over 25 years. When others told him that the things he wanted to do could not be done, he defied the odds and accomplished more than he ever imagined. Facing verbal abuse, race and disability discrimination as a child, Robert overcame his disability and proved to others that all things are possible through Christ. An irresistible message, his story will bring tears to your eyes. It will lift your spirit and encourage your heart to press on, no matter what obstacles you face.
