The 30-Day Challenge That Changed My Life Antoine De'voe Holley

I started this challenge in the hope and desperation that treating others important would help me develop a positive and better outlook about life. Over the past ten years I have lived in four different states, and five different cities. All of the moving had left me feeling like that with each new city, I had left a little part of myself behind. With each new place I had to reestablish my identity and search to find my place in my new surroundings. Somewhere along the way I had lost myself in this process, and I slowly succumbed to the pressure and negative thoughts that I allowed to overtake my mind. With this, I had fallen into a hidden depression and was enclosed with the feelings of loneliness and despair. I found myself hopelessly depressed and consumed with the fear of death. One day my wife emailed me a motivational video that planted a small seed of hope. I recall sitting at my desk and crying for hours while watching the video. Laughably, I spent the rest of my work week watching and crying to various motivational and spiritual YouTube videos. Until one day I stumbled upon a video from a gentleman named Earl Nightingale. I was mesmerized, by his smooth delivery and eloquent explanation of his message. He told his listeners that to make positivity a habit, we must begin by treating others important, and that if we could do it for 30 days, we would do it for the rest of our lives. This is how it all got started for me. Out of pure desperation, I bet all of my chips on this challenge with the hope of by treating others important, that I would somehow find the importance in myself that I have lost.
