The Red Hang Glider
Juan M Alonso
Something odd is going on. One day, X. J. Muldoon finds his old acquaintance Bradford Sailwell "dead and practically naked on his own private beach...just a few yards away from a tilted, triangular hang-glider. It turns out that Brad, not long ago at all, had been up in the air, hang-gliding for the first time in his life and showing off to a new girlfriend, whose smile and squint had cheered him to his doom." It also turns out that-despite all indications otherwise-Brad was a spy. "A real one. Honest to God..." The Red Hang-glider sets forth-in typical Alonso style-a seat-of-your-pants dash through recent history, "The Arts," and several layers of reality, populated by assassins, revolutionaries, some top level security figures, the Goddess of Field Hockey and an art lover who may or may not be an extra terrestrial.
