Based on true events how an innocent man was accused of a crime and pursued unlawfully for nearly 2 years. How the experience lead to post traumatic stress and the demise of his businesses and family whilst police covered up their illegal activities faking evidence to ensure a new statute came into force to control criminals in the scrap metal industry. In the years that followed innocent people were caught up in their unlawful policing operations, a nursery school teacher represented Scrap Dealers and won their court cases even through the High Court proving the law was incorrectly policed, despite having no formal legal training. This story recalls the events but also plots the onset of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and how it affects the person and the ones he loved causing relationships to be destroyed. The author is now the President of the Scrap Metal Dealers Association an organisation to offer Protection, Education Guidance and Support to everyone that is policed under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013. She is a public speaker and also offers Police forces, Environmental Agency officers, and local Authorities training in how to Police the Scrap Metal Dealers Act . She writes for industry magazines and in 2019 has clawed back nearly quarter of a million pounds in over charging from local authority licensing departments. The Scrap Metal Dealers Association was designed to support those affected by illegal police activities and now has the reputation of being the most proactive Association for Scrap Metal Dealers, Motor Salvage Operators and Collectors in the country.
