This is a training manual for building boys into strong men. There is a five step format used for teaching; the principle, the precept, processing the principle, possessing the principle and practicing the principle. Principles one through five describe how a man should think. Principles six through eight describe how a man should conduct himself with others. Principles nine through twelve describe self examination and appreciation. These principles are simple, yet profound and are essential in building boys to men. I learned these principles from watching the men in my life -- my father, my grandfather, and my uncles. These principles were so pronounced in how they lived their lives that it was easy for me to see them and write them down. I wrote these principles initially for adult men in a court residential treatment center. I was challenged tp write a curriculum that would teach adults how to become men. Eighty percent of these adults came from homes without men. As I shared the knowledge and wisdom that I learned from the men in my life, those adults who embraced the principles eventually became men. Every boy will benefit from learning and practicing these principles.
