Andrews Bedside tells the dramatic tale of two young men and their journey through young adulthood. Maverick Booker, is a level headed but slightly damaged young man who has a lot to learn about the world. Andrew Doolin is an insightful, poetic, also level headed young man whose personality is just what Maverick needs. The young men first meet in Vermont while taking a college course together and they soon discover that they are head over heels in love. Like any love story, the two young men experience ups and downs in the relationship including a breakup, one of them getting married to someone else, getting back together, along with many other twists and turns. But there is a larger problem hanging over their heads, Andrew develops a life threatening disease that initiates a dramatic series of events and ultimately puts Andrew on death's doorstep. Maverick skips town, unable to deal with the shock and confusion. He relocates to California and attempts to start a new life. But an unexpected encounter at a local park reveals what really happened to Andrew.
