Journey Of The Water Dragon Manuel Iwansky
Journey Of The Water Dragon
Manuel Iwansky
An artist's book with roughly 100 watercolour paintings by Manuel Iwansky. The paintings were originally painted into a tiny book made of rice paper. By painting on both sides of each page, a visual story unique to each reader unfolds that can change its meaning every time the book is opened. The book is a reflection on Johannes Hewel's series "Brahman Endless" and in the visual style of traditional East Asian painting. Manuel Iwansky has studied painting and visual arts at the State Academy of Fine Arts, Stuttgart. He was born in 1980 near Stuttgart, Germany, where he now works and lives.
