Lord Thog of the Grey Marshes is a man who became immortal... after killing a god. As years pass into decades and decades into centuries, he outlives everyone he has ever known, all while becoming more isolated and bitter to the point where he longs for a death... that he can never have. Selling his services as a warrior, he becomes drawn into a great war between two diametrically opposed monarchs. Thog later discovers insights into his own condition - that the souls of his lost loved ones are reincarnated over and over, forever drawn to him in each reincarnation. Lord Thog is a tortured and flawed hero, having all of the frailties of the mortals he has come to both resent and envy. He has fears, anxieties, needs and self-doubts, while also dealing with monsters, mad men and an evil deity. Follow Thog's journey of self-discovery and hope, love and sacrifice, as he strives to find a reason to keep moving forward in life.
