Riley is a 13-year-old girl who lives with her mother and grandmother. Her father was in the military and died in combat when she was young. She is strong-willed and curious which sometimes gets her into trouble. The age range for the readers is 11-15 years old and will be marketed towards this age group. This book series is being written to help children ages 11-15-years with different struggles that they may be dealing with. These books will take them on an adventure of some sort and draw them into the life of a young girl named Riley. Through the characters, they will learn how to handle problems and situations head-on. They will learn the value of family and friendships, love and peace, war and patriotism, life and death.
