I am a pro painter who learned to paint the hard way. I thought I could do well by doing good in writing an extremely clear book about it...save the aspiring painter numerous headaches. This book contains a series of small articles designed to get you excellent results with no experience. There have been many books written dealing with the subject of painting but, in my opinion, always seem to miss some very basic ideas. Many are written using a more step by step approach to learning that I think can be problematic. Step by step instructions skip over certain key points of understanding. When something goes wrong you are left without the means of correcting it. I will use an 'understanding of key points' approach here. This way whether you want to apply what you know to some other area or need to correct something that's gone wrong, you'll figure it out yourself. I'll start out with equipment then move on to materials. I don't want to get into major bodywork issues here but just want to create a basic understanding of all the materials from primers to reducers and, most importantly, discuss all of the things that go wrong. This book was recently written and I've gotten a lot of feedback from readers about a couple of additional topics.
