Lisa's books comfort you with encouragement and feel like a cozy-clean blanket straight from the dryer. Her first two books won both a GOLD and SILVER Medal from THE ILLUMINATION BOOK AWARDS. These awards shine a light on exemplary Christian books honoring the year's best new titles. Diamonds In Our Days is her newest hope-filled devotional that will lift you up inspiring you to sparkle. In this DEVOTIONAL you will learn to:

Trust in God's promise that He will work good from those things that are badUnderstand deeper spiritual truths that are mined from physical trials. Face fear head-on armed with faith. Be content resting in God's Word. You may feel like an ugly lump of coal. But like a diamond you are BELOVED, BRILLIANT and BEAUTIFUL! You are multi-faceted. There are millions of diamonds but only one YOU. Though you may have wintery seasons when you feel more like a forgotten lump of coal, know that you are cherished and infinitely valuable.

It's no coincidence that diamonds are among the hardest substances on earth. They have endured an epic journey through crushing conditions. Their atoms have bonded together becoming saturated and strong. Together as women we have endured despite difficulties. While we each have experienced unique journeys, we too can bond together in faith providing us with renewed strength.

In our faith expedition through the pages of this book, we will discover how God works gut-wrenching things into gorgeous, glorious things so that you and I can emerge more beautiful with spirits that radiate hope. It's going to be a fun adventure...be ready to laugh lots while we mine for rich spiritual truths!

FROM THE AUTHOR:

Dear Friends,

Working as a pharmacist for over three decades, I see sickness daily. Honestly, it makes me question if there are deeper spiritual truths that can be mined from physical trials and what beauty can emerge from these hurts? Hard things that God allows in our lives help us to more clearly understand the pain of those experiencing similar circumstances. Hard trials help provide clarity about what's most important in life. Clarity makes us and diamonds even more gorgeous and infinitely more valuable!

So, here's a sneak peek of some timely STORIES that will answer some timely questions like:

Might the common cold help us better understand Christ's uncommon gift of grace? Could our foot falling asleep lead us to walk toward others living and giving more generously? How do we make better food choices and what do a handful of potato chips have in common with a headful of recognition? How can we overcome pain, even when it's invisible to doctors who question our symptoms? How can we be more than conquerors when cancer threatens to knock us down and scares us silly? Might the plaque on our teeth encourage us to brush pride from our lives? What does Tylenol(R) have to teach us about living out truth? And finally, what lessons on abiding might we learn from our belly buttons? (Yes, you read that right...our belly buttons.) Here's to discovering Diamonds In Our Days,
Lisa
