The first volume in the investigation of why the world of Allaya has stopped is here. Through the eyes of those who lived at that time. In particular, Huron and Selay Quirksettle, bound together between the reluctant actions of two rival nations.

Selay, betrayed, lost, uncouth, and belligerent. She works as an informant for a Machiavellian chancellor. She uncovers a deeper truth that could threaten to upend this recent stability, or worse, make common bond between the two rival kingdoms.

Huron, lost himself, determined to find out why Selay has left him. He set out from home to find her. Only to become trapped in a conspiracy he has no clue about. One that threatens the internal stability of the Empire.

The future of their world sits upon the wings of both, let us hope their scales are firm enough to handle it. Will they stop the world forever? Or will it resume its destructive motion anew?

Yes. Huron, and Selay bear wings, and scales. For this is a world ruled by bipedal dragons. A world full of them, varied, and beautiful. Each with stories they are willing to tell. From Holy Knights, to Feudal Lords, to merchants, smiths, and heralds. From the lowly guard, to the powerful banker. To the pirate, and his crew. Of dragons, and of nations ruled by them, they live.

Here there are no elves, no dwarves, and especially: no humans. Only dragons. Whose affairs we may not be able to meddle in, but we sure can observe.
