Hypoxia is a short story collection of twelve memorably macabre tales where everyday events are seldom what they seem. Topics and themes include time-travel, conspiracy, invasion, dream-recording, discrimination, over-population, disease, and the perils of the online dating domain. The stories focus more on hidden, underlying disquiet rather than all-out gratuitous gore. Whether it be a twist in the tail of everyday life, or a world where all's not quite as it seems, the stories in Hypoxia will leave the reader guessing until the very end. The majority of the stories have strong roots in reality, and would be categorised in the Speculative Fiction genre. Each story contains pointed barbs in one form or another - social commentary, violence, sci-fi, love, drama, horror (real and supernatural) - all dipped in a dystopian ambience and designed to hook the reader in with strong, distinctive imagery and concepts.
