The Colossus of the Thames & Other Tales Mark R Brandon

Welcome to London, capital of the British Empire, home of the Forever Queen, Her Imperial Majesty Alexandrina Victoria, Empress of India, the Good Hope and the Fifteen Colonies.

Across 12 stories, 'The Colossus of the Thames & Other Tales' will take you on a magical adventure into a world where the British never left America, where the streets of London thrum with pneumatic trains and taxicabs driven by brass automata and armed airships ply the skies over the Mother of Parliaments.

You'll meet the last man to remember the Lost Poets, consult the Great Brass Detective and travel with the Night Doctor on his dark mission to a street in Bayswater which doesn't exist...

You'll hear about the Clockwork Clockmaker and of the Constabulary of Chronological Affairs; hear rumours of the Greenwich Atom and the Grand Engine at Inkerman, Dark Lanterns and Radicals, of the sinister Button Man.

And you'll see the Colossus of the Thames, ancient, unfathomable protector of London, jewel of the Empire, capital of all the world.
