Detective Parker Williams convinces his friend, Carl, to join the Bealtown PD as the new K9 officer, in an attempt to help Carl after a devastating loss. Soon Parker is called to the scene of a gruesome murder at the estate of Carl's former brother-in-law, where he discovers that Carl's niece, a world-class equestrian, is also in danger.
