It was the era when Hollywood became the center for America's television programs. The Beach Boys songs made surfing popular in Southern California then the Nation. Professional sports teams like the Dodgers, Rams, and Lakers invaded the Golden State. Opportunity for school children was everywhere since the weather was great all year. Youth were taught responsibility and when they weren't, they suffered consequences for poor behavior. Television was served in black and white boxes the size of a washing machine. Chores included emptying their refrigerators in order to defrost them. The first skateboards were homemade out of roller skates. There wasn't color T. V., Computers, Cell Phones, and Video Games, etc. Young people spent much more time outdoors. Children of all ages will enjoy being introduced to this world that no longer exists, Though it wasn't that long ago. Senior Citizens will enjoy reliving their childhood! Grandparents will enjoy sharing these adventures with their grandchildren; and telling their own stories, when The Green Grass Grew All Around.
