Ty is a 13-year-old kid trying to navigate the troubled waters of his junior high school while attempting to catch the attention of his crush Katherine, or the attention of any female his age for that matter. What he does not realize is that he is on a collision course with Harry Vance, the school's most violent bully. Intervention comes in the form of a mysterious substitute teachers named Ray who seems to know a little too much about what is happening and what is about to happen. Ty learns a lot about himself and what it means to take one's fate into one's own hands.
