I am drawn to the idea of the Internet as an extension of the human psyche, and how a sophisticated box of plastic and wires can serve as a portal to better understand oneself. The integration of the personal computer into the everyday home forever changed the way we intake and share information. In 1995, less than 1% of the world population used the Internet, however, it was recorded that in 2016 over 46% of the population is now actively spending their time online. I find there to be a mystical allure to the early advertising of computers in the 80's that references aesthetics surrealism, spirituality, and the promises of the technological evolution. Today, the act of looking at a screen has become as ubiquitous as looking at the sky. What one sees on a day-to-day basis is becoming increasingly representative. I am interested in how one interacts within cyberspace; how it feels, moves, and exists.
