Co-design is a process gaining momentum in use in Industrial Design. Companies of many types such as Lego and Nestle have begun to integrate the co-design process into their business models. However, there has been little research into how designers are being taught to perform the co-design process during their formal education. In "Co-design in Industrial Design Education" six case studies of distinguished institutions are analyzed in order to provide insight into the education of designers on the topic of co-design. From this analysis common methods and approaches to teaching co-design are derived in order to begin creating standard practices.
