Microalgae and organic matter in water affects our life and cause serious environmental pollution. Cleaning the river water to remove microalgae and other substances is the key step in a water treatment process, which is normally achieved using chemical coagulant. The removal of turbidity, organic matter and nutrient can be achieved using specially bio-coagulant from fungi species, Aspergillus flavus in the form of soft pellets. This method offers a safe, non-toxic and cheaper method for water treatment which is an alternative to chemical method used for the same purpose. This method also eliminates the production of toxic chemical sludge at treatment plants.
