Perceptions of Communication Between Traditional Healers and Clients
Stanley Mana Molefe
This book looked at the interpersonal communication between diviners (amagqira) and clients in a village in the rural Eastern Cape. This was done by means of exploring the perceptions of the session held by both parties through participant observation and a face-to-face interview with the clients and with amagqirha. This book has insight into the interpersonal communication used by amagqirha in their healing divination system. It shows how the healers are so determined to help their clients who come to them with different psychological, physical and spiritual needs.
