This book is based on a comprehensive research work carried out by the author in the year 2010. The present work is based on the primary data collected from a slum in Dhaka city. Based on the observation and participation method the real life of the slum dwellers are presented here. The migrants day to day life affairs are therefore described here. As the importance of Kinship in Bangladeshi society is no doubt very significant the author also truly able to portrayed the kinship relations in the slum and found class relation within kinship relation like Patron-client relation. So, in a sense its a master piece of achievement to the author which will help to initiate a new dimension to all the social scientist who are interested in migration, kinship and other social issues.
