Assuring a regular uninterrupted supply of quality anti-TB drugs to all including Multi-drug Resistant (MDR)-TB patients is essential for effective and efficient treatment of TB. The design and implementation of a logistics management information system (LMIS) is the most important technical intervention in supply chain management. Without accurate and timely data, program managers will not have sufficient information to make key supply decisions or to efficiently and effectively operate the logistics system. This book explores the weaknesses and strengths of the logistics management system based on consumption data rather than one based on reported cases
