Over last few years there has been advancement in paeditric anaesthesia but adequate premedication still remains a quest. Forceful separation of child from parents, iv cannulation , adminstraion of anaesthesia and stress of surgery cab have long term impact upon the child 's pscyche. Intranasal premedication provides a good route for premedication in the children. Intranasal midazolam and kettamine provide effective mode of premedication in the paediatric patients as demonstrated in my work in theis book.
