This book explores my approach to designing a procedural audio engine for a computer game. I developed this engine, called High Score, using the visual programming language Max/MSP. My intention was to create a very flexible tool that would respond to user input in both immediate and abstract ways. My hope is that High Score serves as an inspiration for the future development of interactive audio for games and other multimedia projects.
