In this age of communication and technology media consumption is part of almost all communities in the world. People at all corners of the world consume different media messages and integrate their day to day routines with the information they acquire from media. For this end access to media technologies proved to be a prerequisite for the supposed benefits of the media. Related to the above concept This book aims to present an account of media access, preference and use of audiences in a depriving environment, prison. Throughout the book mass media experiences of prison inmates who are found in Bahir Dar town administration prisoner correctional center which is located in eastern Ethiopia is presented. In an attempt to publish this book an explanatory survey was carried out. The results of the survey were interpreted and presented in this book. I hope this book will be used as a mirror for understanding about the mass media experiences of legal prisoners in Ethiopia.
