This is the First Pet Nutritional Work conducted at the Indian Premier Research Institute for Veterinary Science - Division of Animal Nutrition under the able guidance of Dr. Artabandu Sahoo and Dr. N. N. Pathak. This work is the pioneer work with preparation of dog biscuits and supplementing with probiotic namely Lactobacillus acidophilus to improve the gut health. The higher level of fiber on dog diet and its impact on animal performance, gut health, blood biochemicals and stool characteristics also studied.
