Japanese Quails and Agro Industrial by Products John Makinde

This book gives brief discussion on the importance of agro industrial by-products in the diet of Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica). It enlightens the poultry farmers on the use of Brewers dried grains and Palm kernel meal as substitute for dietary maize. The effects of these agro industrial by-products on the growth performance, carcass yield and egg production of Japanese quails were reported in this book. The research reported was conducted at the Poultry Research Unit of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria under the Supervision of Prof (Mrs) A. A. Sekoni of the Poultry Research Unit, National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI), Shika, Zaria and Prof. T. S. B. Tegbe of Animal Science Department, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
