Smoking causes cardiovascular disease and cancer. Advertising should be more effective and directed to all population worldwide. Epidemiological findings undoubtedly show that both active smokers and nonsmokers passively exposed to tobacco products meet severe alterations to several body organs, primarily heart and blood vessels, and respiratory system, which may be considered as target organs of tobacco smoke. Sudden cardiac death may occur in both active smokers and individuals exposed to passive smoking, although with lesser rate.
