Towards Congruent Understanding in Interorganizational Relations: a Study of Conditional and Process Determinants
Marno Van Houten
This study examines the determinants of congruent understandings in interorganizational relations. Prior research has suggested that a certain degree of understanding is needed to successfully collaborate and interact with others. A better understanding helps to mitigate coordination, conflict resolution and information-gathering problems. In this research an answer is given on the following research question: "To what extent do various conditions and processes influence the congruency of understandings amongst two individuals from different organizations involved in an interorganizational relation with each other?"
