This book constitutes the synthesis of the new biodegradable polyurethanes and their applications for tissue engineering and drug delivery. The novel polyurehtanes are highly elastic, biodegradable, chemically functional, environmental stimuli sensitive and exhibited the potential for drug delivery, scaffold fabrication by ink-jet printing technique and other potential applications. In addition to the general knowledge of the polyurethane and its chemistry, this book has included the synthesis of two novel polyurethanes, one is for the cell-culturing scaffold fabrication by ink-jet printing technique, and another is used for the drug delivery vehicle with controlled drug release property.
