Student Achievement and the GeoLeg Tool is a mixed- methods research study that explores student learning and achievement while using the GeoLeg manipulative tool. To date there are over a million students using this tool. This is the first research empiracal study performed on this geometry tool. Key features of this study include: an examination of posttest scores between students who used the GeoLeg manipulative tool and those who used traditional tools to complete the same academic tasks; examines whether or not gender or preferred learning style had any effect on student achievement. Student and teacher interviews add an interesting dynamic and perspective the findings of this study. This study will be helpful for those looking at using this tool at their school site.
