This training manual has been developed for those of career counsellors who decided to work not only with children, but with their families as well. It constitutes a collection of information necessary to build a good contact between counsellors and parents, to motivate parents to act, set up goals, develop skills and personal character traits facilitating the analysis of one's career in such a way as to help the children in making good educational and vocational choices. It includes description of about 30 hours of practical exercises to be used in work with parents. The book has been divided into three parts. The first one ? "How to work with a group of parents" - provides information about conducting workshop classes with a group of parents. The second part ? "Workshop on counselling work with parents" contains a set of useful tools (exercises) to be used by counsellors in practices. The third part can be proposed by trainer for parents as a self-study part of the training. There are resource designs attached to the exercises, which can be copied by the trainers or edited according to their specific needs.
