The study assessed the Impact of Entrepreneurial Characteristics on the Performance of Manufacturing Industries in Nigeria. This was with a view to identifying these characteristics and the factors that influence their translation to optimum business performance. The results showed that human resource factors such as age, level of education, manpower utilisation; the skills and category of entrepreneurs and employees including the choice and utilisation of production technology and manufacturing process deployed were found to be inadequate and severely inhibited the potential of respondents for performance and growth. However, lenght of years in business, working experience, product marketing strategies and internal control system were found to have positive contributions on their performance.
