Intellectual Capital and Public University Libraries: a Knowledge Sharing Perspective Reuben Mushi

When the debate started to weather we still need libraries even now when the web is believed to carry much the same content found in the libraries, I felt that something need to be done. I felt two issues named reinvention of the wheel and efficiency in terms of the use of knowledge libraries have in the head of their staff needs attention. The issue of adding value to library routines became critical at this juncture. Knowledge sharing was found to be the best strategy to codify tacit knowledge hidden in the heads of library's staff and a way to value what is not valued and revealed in the balance sheets (knowledge).
