There are many variations of the squatting exercise. Deciding which variation will be most beneficial to an individual varies on the muscles that individual wishes to strengthen. The aim of this study is to determine the differences in muscle activation between two variations of the squatting exercise. Discovering differences in muscle activation between variatons of an exercise also helps determine how safe an exercise is to perform. Safety and efficiency are two of the most important deciding factors in choosing exercises for a workout routine.
