Disability is an area which has been largely under researched. Some have focused on problems faced by disabled people and the rehabilitation programmes designed for them. However, people have tried to look at the magnitude of the problem, the programmes and policies available and their limitations. Much effort has been put into the rehabilitation and prevention without adequate attention to curative inputs.
