Green space planning and management is the most important agenda in developing green infrastructure in urban context. The study presents an approach towards the development of spatial geodatabase design for tree management and planning. The study was conduct with Red Rose Forest which is leading environmental community in Greater Manchester. This project is the part of Green Street GIS project undertaken by Red Rose Forest for Manchester City. The tree tracking and management system was developed for RRF end users,by applying the spatial geodatabase concept. A prototype was developed to examine the effectiveness of proposed system for tree planting and management by using SQL server express and ArcGIS-ArcInfo software packages.
