Information Literacy (IL) is a relatively new concept in Africa. This book documents some aspects of teaching and learning of IL at the university of Zululand, Durban university of Technology in KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa and at Mzuzu University in Malawi. The Seven Pillars of IL been highlighted and compared with other IL models. The book also documents some challenges associated with teaching and learning of IL in the above three institutions. Recommendations have been made to those challenges. It is hoped that this book will greatly help scholars that are studying and those that would like to study and specialise in IL, more especially the African Scholar who faces challenges of the dearth of books and other reading materials on IL. Any reader will find this book very interesting and enriching.
