This book brings out an analysis of the challenges and prospects for human development in relation to HIV Voluntary Counselling and Testing Service delivery in selected centres in Mbarara municipality-Mbarara district located in the south Western part of Uganda. Much concetration is put on VCT service providers, Clients that have tested for HIV and those found at the testing centres. Various VCT testing centres like AIDS Information Centre were visited to generate data. It is herein documented that VCT has a positive impact on the socio-economic aspects of development of the people of Mbarara district. People who have not undergone through the same exercise are encouraged to test. It is also established that VCT has got far reaching implications and benefits on the individuals and communities that have utilised the service.
