Development of aDelhi Metropolitan city towards fringe area have impact on the environment of Delhi. Land degradation took place due to soil and sand mining and brick ciln activied. Ground water and surface water both have been contaminated. ground water quality and quantity have gone down. level of ground water have gone down. Ground water recharge zone have been covered with structural development. Most of the common property resources desappear due to unplanned development of the city. Government policy has played major role for protection of environment. Brick-kln industry has falled under 'H' category hazardous industry. Therefore, Brick-kilns industry has shifted to neighbouring state which have continued its impact on environment of Delhi. Gramsabha land (common land) has confugious status. Government is under dilemma. Gramsabha land is private or public land. Central groundwater commission has banned private bore holes in Delhi officially. But almost all households have boreholes in rural Delhi for water. Number's of environmental protection acts are ineffective on ground truth. Hence, rapid urbanization has degraded the fringe environmental of NCT Delhi.
