Lack of adequate information on the culture of cucumber has been a major drawback in its production. Since available research, mainly from temperate areas and other production systems may not apply to greenhouse production in tropical highlands, this research was designed to evaluate the influence of four nitrogen sources and three mulching materials on growth, yield and quality of greenhouse grown cucumber ?Ashley?. It is recommended that potassium nitrate or urea be used as a source of nitrogen while transparent polyethylene or straw mulch be used as mulching material
