The book aims to present the meaning and importance of Ka?hina robe (c?vara) in Therav?da tradition. According to Vinayapi?aka, Ka?hina practice of early Sa?gha was just simple monastic act and the monk who spread the Ka?hina and who rejoice in the Ka?hina are entitled to enjoy the five Ka?hina privileges (kathin?nisa?sa). The characteristics of Ka?hina robe are offering to the Sa?gha (Sa?ghikad?na) and the time to offer the Ka?hina (K?lad?na). However, the Ka?hina robe was allowed by the Lord Buddha for the convenience of the monks in their daily life, mainly for their convenience in their Dhamma tours and used of robes.
