Universal adhesive system is the most trending adhesive with a crucial characteristic of the chemical interactions to enhance durability of dentin-resin interfaces. Several studies try to explain this interaction with exposed collagen if not fully encapsulated by the polymerized adhesive monomers, demineralized collagen fibrils will be vulnerable to time-dependent hydrolytic degradation by water, leaving voids within the hybrid layer or demineralized Nano-channels, but we still compromised with wet and dry mode strategy of using universal adhesives.
