Anna and the Scandinavian Hearts Wendy Jangaard Jensen

Anna and the Scandinavian Hearts is a beautifully illustrated, heartwarming story about Anna finding meaning in the symbols around her. Anna is a young, joyful girl who is beginning to notice all of the details in her world. She is close with her family and proud of her Scandinavian heritage. While spending time at her grandparents' house she learns about the things that are special to them and how they relate to their lives growing up in Norway and Sweden. Anna begins to have a deeper appreciation for the symbols from their heritage, one of these symbols being hearts. Anna is excited to connect with her friends and classmates through the symbols that give them joy.

This book is for children who love learning about other cultures and who find happiness in the little things in life (rocks, rainbows, butterflies . . .). This story is meant to spark curiosity for the readers and encourage them to find magic and meaning in the things in their life also.

Anna and the Scandinavian Hearts is a great gift for children of all ages, grandparents who love sharing their stories, and parents that are looking for ways to connect to their heritage.
