Obscuricon Presents '80s Teen Flick Festival Guide Book III Joseph John Corey

The Raymond J. Regis Cinema in Raleigh hosts the '80s Teen Flick Festival from May 15 to 25, 2020. We'll be showing Foxes to Say Anything and 29 films in between. There will be a focus on the movies of John Hughes, Andrew McCarthy, John Cusack, Rob Lowe, Molly Ringwald, Matthew Modine, Demi Moore, Ione Skye and Taylor Negron. This Guide to the series features essays on the theme of each day and gives context to the films from someone who survived the '80s. Learn the dark secret of John Hughes, the creepy nature of Carl the Janitor, how Rob Lowe has the most punchable face in cinema and the original ending to Risky Business. Get deep into the decade that gave us MTV, Valley Girls and home computers. Read up on the movies before you buy your series pass for the film festival that will take you back to the future (even if we're not showing Back to the Future this year).
