Harts Family is the inspirational story of William Tilden Harts. Tilly, as everyone calls him, is a fictional country and western singer. His trials and tribulations as a country music star hell-bent on self-destruction until he sobers up after once more overdosing. Tilly is getting his life and career straight, and he decides to publish an autobiography with the help of a writer, and now he is ready to tell all the stories that no one has ever heard. The book delves into Tilly's childhood and his father's death, a country singer on the weekends but whose life was cut short by alcoholism. As the singer and the writer are working on the book, Junior's life changes dramatically, and the singer's hard living and wild tour life comes back to haunt him. Junior had already discovered that his sister was only his half-sister, born to his mother before she married Tilly's father, and then his mother, Miss Katy, died. While working on his autobiography, he discovers his only son is not his only child. The story involves twists and turns in the Harts family backstories and a medical crisis that only Tilly can solve. Although the story goes back to the singer's dad, early life, and the escapades that made him what he is today, and also includes the emotional turmoil of reliving his past and new revelations.
