It is abundantly obvious that Hip Hop is here to stay and so by accepting and embracing the new normal as opposed to fighting it, we may find ourselves at the forefront of a new means of teaching literacy. This text is dedicated towards all those who are in the midst of the struggle to illuminate a culture that has managed to span the globe and change the narrative of what the Black Diaspora can produce when it works together for the collective good. We're Hollering is just one person's foray into the world of Hip Hop-laced Education. Written as parts, manual, apologetic, and history text, it attempts to give the reader a user-friendly slice of what is a very large and alive movement, and gives educators encouragement and insight into what has been a controversial, but no less influential artform.
