This book is the true account of a man that endures great loss in his life. First, the loss of his mother at a young age. Second, he finds love and gets married only to find himself cutoff from his loving family. Third, a failed marriage with children left in the balance. The author recounts his father's story and the unimaginable events that surround the divorce. The children are left with a mother whose vicious lies taint their father as a hateful, unloving man whose only goal is to take them away from her. Years of lies and manipulation have left emotional scars on the children. His son, through it all, sees the man for who he is, a loving father. He recounts the happy and memorable moments of his time with his dad up through his teenage years. The father and son restore the relationship that was lost so long ago, however, the father's time on earth is cut short. He is left with guilt, yet thankful for the time he was able to have with his dad. The author of this book hopes that this account will serve as a cautionary reference to those couples who are divorced or contemplating divorce. Children should never be held as pawns and should be able to know the love of both parents.
